Director Research and Planning

Requirements :

A relevant qualification (NQF level 7) in business management and administration as recognised by SAQA. Succesful completion of the certificate for entry into Senior Management Services (SMS) endorsed by the National School of Governance available as an online course on www.thensg.gov.za. Extensive experience in integrated environment and conservation management, tourism and investment research, strategic planning and monitoring and evaluation. 5 years experience at Middle Management level in business management and administration

Duties :

 Land use planning and monitoring of change in land use. * Fossil site monitoring and evaluation. * State environment monitoring and evaluation. * Evaluations and recommendations of NEMPAA authorizations and permissions. * Management of implementation of environmental management frameworks. * Management of compliance and enforcement. * Tourism supply research. * Tourism demand research. * Investment research and investment promotion. * Coordination of strategic plan and operational plan reporting. * Monitoring and evaluation. * Coordination of programme of cooperative governance. * Coordination of stakeholder engagement.
