The jobholder will be responsible for various administration, compliance, finance and company secretarial support duties within the financial and investment environment

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNT ABILITIES:-

Assisting with procurement and payment functions as well as maintaining good supplier relations;

Tracking of due diligence and transaction monitoring costs against budgets; and

Document filing and maintenance.

ADMINISTRATION SUPPORT:

COMPANY SECRETARIAL SUPPORT:

    • Assisting with company secretarial and governance activities for the group and invested companies (i.e. resolution monitoring, tracking board dates, follow up items, delivery of minutes etc.);
    • Collating, printing and binding of board, investment committee and advisory committee meeting documentation;
    • Monitoring compliance with project documents (timelines for meetings, covenant monitoring, quota, distribution of management accounts etc.); and
    • Assisting with the establishment of new companies (South Africa and internationally).

TRANSACTION RELATED SUPPORT:

    • Managing transaction documentation and filing; and
    • Providing the necessary support in relation to deal due diligence, draw down and monitoring activities as requested from time to time by investment team members.

COMPLIANCE SUPPORT:

    • Filing of compliance documentation;
    • Maintaining FICA and FAIS records;
    • Assisting with KYC procedures for all stakeholders;
    • Maintenance of compliance checklist and document registers; and
    • Collation of information for reports for regulatory bodies i.e. FAIS, FATCA, FICA, FCA, etc.

TEAM ADMINISTRATION:

Project team administration including, but not limited to:

    • Booking flights;
    • Booking accommodation;
    • Booking conferences and training;
    • Meeting arrangements;
    • Preparing travel itineraries; and
    • Assisting with visa applications.
    • Preparing expense claims and follow up of refund payments; and
    • Document/report editing (MS Word and Power Point expert).

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:-

KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A minimum requirement of the position is a relevant 3-year tertiary qualification.
    • SKILLS:
    • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team orientated environment;
    • The ability to communicate well (both verbally & written) is essential;
    • Accuracy is important;
    • The jobholder must have the ability and initiative to grow the job beyond its current specifications
    • EXPERIENCE:
  • 3 to 5 years prior experience in a similar role.
